Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are wonderful, wide-eyed learners, but unfortunately we are in a low income neighborhood where students don't always get the opportunities that they deserve. They are eager to learn, but often come to school without proper supplies.
Students need activities at their own learning level.
It is important to reinforce and enrich students in order for lifetime learning to occur. My students are well-behaved third graders who always want to do their best.
Learning is important to my students so they can succeed in the world. I know that someday they will be productive citizens.
My Project
I am requesting writing tools for my 3rd grade class. We need pencils every day for the various tasks in class. Students also need to take home pencils to do homework. I also want red and blue pencils to help students with practicing cursive writing. We trace in our workbook with red and then write the letters, or words in blue. Then I am requesting black pens so we can publish a hand written book at the end of the school year.
The writing tools I am requesting will help the students achieve completion of their work, learn cursive penmanship, and also assist them with their final published book of the year.
My students are in need of these basic tools and would be very appreciative that someone cares about their success.
