Help me give my students Write & Wipe Lapboards, Write & Wipe Broad-Tip, and Thin-Line Dry Erase Markers, Magnetic Clown Fish Erasers, and D’Nealian Cursive Practice Boards.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My class is made up of excited seven and eight-year-old students who love to come to school! They are eager learners and they are excited about what they can learn each day. My students come from low-income families that have very little money to extras. They love to draw and write during center time, but we are in desperate need of new dry erase boards, markers and erasers. My students also need practice writing during phonics, small group, handwriting, and math lessons.
My Project
Writing is a wonderful way for students to express themselves. My students love to use dry erase boards and markers to do this.
My students need daily opportunities to write to solve math problems, practice handwriting, sound out and spell words, and to make sentences.
They have used our old boards so much that they are worn out, and we are in need of new ones. It would be wonderful to have new markers and erasers to use to add some fun and to add details to their work. They are learning how to write in cursive and it is exciting to watch them as they practice each day.
