Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class is full of young learners that learn new skills every day with eagerness to learn more. These students give me the motivation to make learning hands-on and engaging. Their love for learning makes me want to be a better educator. I have students from all types of backgrounds that encounter different struggles, and in my class, we support each other. I was fortunate to teach this group of kindergartens in pre-K! I know their personalities, strengths, and struggles. My desire is to give them all the tools they need to be successful and life- long learners.
They deserve the best education I can provide them both academically and emotionally.
Through your generous donations, my students can be blessed with a new classroom that will spark their excitement for learning while teaching them how to be self-efficient learners.
My Project
In my classroom, I will have a writing center next to a window. I am hoping to this will give my writers' inspiration. This project includes additional comfortable seating as well as enticing writing tools. I am excited to see students wanting to attend the writing center and share their creativity.
In the pass years, I have gone through many pens, markers, and other writing tools that excite students to write, but quickly become unusable due to tools running out of ink.
I can't wait to see my students' eyes light up as they see some new, replenished items. I know they are going to be excited to write new pieces of writing. Kindergarten students' writing is the best to read as you see them become writers for the first time.
