My students are amazing students that are enrolled in a charter school that opened last year.
Although we were faced with the difficult challenge of starting new, we have created an amazing classroom community for learning. My students are focused, goal oriented, and excited to achieve to their maximum potential.
My Project
My students need a writing rich environment in our classroom to feel safe and secure to learn the many stages of writing. By having multiple opportunities in the classroom, my students will be able to become 21st century learners by incorporating writing lesson and opportunities that allow them to experiment and practice to help them increase their writing and reading skills. They will do this by using grade level and age level appropriate writing tools and techniques. This will also allow them to build their self-confidence and self-esteem to succeed in their education. I have also chosen to help my students be successful double-sided learn to print and write wipe boards, write and wipe alphabet practice cards, learning centers, and letter blocks to learn words. Also, I have choose a Phonics instant Learning Center to help them learn to decode words in a fun and exciting way but still very educationally correct for any age and Reading in a Flash that builds upon reading as well.
Giving them access to these types of materials will bridge the gap from now to their potential future workplace.
