My Students
My students attend a Title I, inner-city public school. Many of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students and school need support and resources to continue our successes.
I teach 85 excited and engaged third graders; they really are the best kids.
My students are diverse! As an ESL teacher in an inner city school, we need all the resources we can get. My students get so excited to get new resources to help them learn. Thank you for considering this project! We are so thankful that you are considering supporting our lovely kiddos.
My Project
We will use these 6 writing flip charts for teaching and learning in the students' core classes of writing, reading, math and science. ESL students need many representations of learning, of which pictures and phrases for their classrooms are really important. As an ESL teacher I will travel with the students to their classrooms to support them there, and in small group learning. Vocabulary, picture representations and grammar are all critical parts of ESL instruction.
My ESL learners are eager and ready writers!
Both teachers and students will use the important resource of charts for learning. Writing, and seeing your ideas in writing is so critical for young, engaged ESL learners.
