Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach kindergarten this year. About 90% of the students at my school receive free or reduced-price lunch. All of the students in my classroom are bilingual students. In my classroom we work on strengthening our Spanish reading, writing and speaking skills. Some of my students come from difficult family lives, but they don't let that stop them from learning and trying their best!
Most students are living with a single parent, grandparent or both parents who work full time, although many parents are eager to help in anyway they can I want to help them provide the best for their child.
I plan on building a community in our classroom that will allow each student to feel comfortable and express their creativity. I want to support my students the best I can! They like to move, they love to be part of our community, and they love lots of positive attention.
My Project
My students are starting to develop a love of writing and enjoy putting their voice on paper for others to read. Watching a kindergartner write is the most beautiful thing in the world! They are starting to see how stories are made, how words can be connected to their images and emotions.
I want my students to become the authors to their own stories!
My students need a Trofast storage combinations with boxes to store their writing materials. The Trofast storage will be the perfect place for my students to store their writing materials and reduce wasted time searching for materials. I want to teach them how to organize their materials in one location so that they can move through the stages of writing.
