My Students

Our school is a small K-8, school in rural Northern California. My class is 1 of 2, first grade classes at our school.

My students love to share their stories!

They love to draw and write and tell about their adventures. Making books and cards is often what they choose to create during writing time.

As first graders, they have a love for learning and are learning new skills daily. They actively participate in class projects and encourage each others in their efforts.

My Project

These flex-space student lap desks, will allow the students in our class to choose where they work. I find that my students do their best writing work, when they have chosen a spot to work that allows them to be comfortable.

We have a few unique work spaces in our classroom.

Beanbag chairs, and a yoga ball are places students can choose to write with a clipboard with. When students get to choose their spot to work their creative work seems to flow out and onto the paper.

I'd like these lap desks for my students so they will have one more space to choose to do their work at.
