My students need "magic" magnetic boards. Many of my students are struggling with handwriting and these would help them to practice in a fun way.

My Students

I teach 23 wonderful kindergarten students. This is my first year teaching full day kindergarten at a public school. My students have varying abilities and they are very excited about their first year in school.

My students have a wide range of academic abilities and are eager to learn.

I strive to plan activities that are hands on, engaging, and meaningful. My students enjoy all hands on activities and they are excited about learning.

My students would love new materials for our classroom.

My Project

Many of my students are struggling with handwriting. The 30 "magic" boards I am requesting in this proposal would provide an opportunity for my students to practice handwriting in a fun way. They can be used in many different subjects (writing, handwriting, spelling, reading, math). Students would be excited to write on something fun and something other than paper. Kindergarten students need many, many opportunities to write each day to help build all of the skills needed to be successful writers. These boards can also serve a variety of academic levels and can be used to differentiate instruction. These boards can be used in work stations, small group instruction, enrichment groups, whole group lessons, with parent volunteers, and remediation groups.
