Writing is Thinking

My students need 52 flash drives to save their writing and transfer it from school computers to home computers where there is no internet access.

My Students

We have access to computers in school and we do a lot of writing in class. The challenge we face is that most of my students don't have a flash drive to to take their electronic documents home. Only those with Internet access are able to retrieve their work at home to complete their homework.

My students strive to become bilingual world citizens and are working on their writing skills both in Spanish and English.

They are full of potential and for the most part understand that to become better writers they must revise their work, this is the reason why having a flash drive seems fundamental. They attend a Title I high school.

My Project

Thanks to the flash drives, my students will be able to become better writers, as they'll get an opportunity to continue working at home on the documents they started at school, and conversely they'll be able to bring back to school any writing initiated at home.

Writing is thinking.

Students working on their writing skills are developing critical thinking skills. Revision is a critical part of writing, and having their own flash drive will greatly assist my students in the development of their craft.
