I am so excited to share my class with you. These are children who are willing and eager to learn. They come to me each day asking and begging for more. Our school consists of Kindergarten through 5th grade. Within our school, each student receives love and support from their teacher, other educators, and community members. Supporting our students has been shown in many ways including listening, caring, showing compassion and meeting children where they are, not expecting them to move on and "just know." We have to show students we want them to grow and become leaders of our community one day. What I enjoy about my students is they are willing to try new ways of learning in order to understand new concepts.
As we know all students learn differently and my class is no exception.
Students need new, interesting and fun ways of learning in order for concepts and ideas to stick. This year I plan on engaging students through many activities, projects and experiments. Examples of these engaging activities include BreakOut EDU, STEM, and different types of literature and flexible seating.
My Project
3Doodlers are a great way for my students to become excited about writing again. My students are developing the basic writing skills and concepts. This process can become repetitive and time consuming. My students need the push and encouragement to complete each of the writing steps and process.
Allowing my students to create a product (using the 3Doodler pen) about their writing will encourage my students to complete the writing process.
Writing should be exciting for our students to get their thoughts, experiences and imagination on paper. I would love to bring that back to my students, using the 3Doodler would be a great way to do so.
