Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
All of our students receive free lunch. Although they come from an impoverished area, they have wonderful spirits and attitudes. They have a lot of parental support. Our students are English language learners in our community. The students are curious about all things and absorb much learning despite the obstacles they face as second graders. They are learning how to work independently. They are an age of curiosity! With your help, we can beat any challenges that they have at home and be joyful at school!
My Project
At this time, My second graders are virtually learning. They do a lot of writing and they need practice using the markers. They also have non permanent writing activities and will use the markers with their white boards to answer questions during virtual classes. We use the copy paper to print out math drills and reading assignments to send home students each week. The students will use the color pencils to learn how to graph to read data. The ink will be used to print map activities to go along with their map pencils. Thank you for helping us mold future engineers!
