Help me give my students the opportunity to learn how to write in proper primary books so that they can eventually graduate to notebooks that are more appropriate for their writing abilities.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
My diverse first graders are the most amazing students I have ever taught. This group of determined learners, come to school everyday with a desire to grasp as much information as they possibly can despite the many obstacles they face. For one, our building is extremely old and has many issues. We are located in a high poverty district with very little technology, books, and necessary classroom supplies.
Nevertheless, my children yearn to learn as much as they can so they can someday become the very best citizens serving in our community.
It is because of these extraordinary six and seven year olds that I work as hard as I do to provide them with the best opportunity so they can achieve all of their goals!
My students are struggling with writing in their college and wide ruled notebooks because they are not designed for primary writers. When I teach Phonics we use specific white boards that have appropriate spacing, but students can not transfer over what I have taught because their notebooks are formatted differently.
These notebooks will make a world of a difference for all my students.
Not only will students be able to properly write in their notebooks, they will also be able to take what I have taught them in Phonics and apply it to other subject notebooks like Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Literacy. Furthermore, students who have occupational therapy needs will also benefit from these wonderful notebooks.
It is my belief that after using these notebooks for first grade they will be able organize their writing for years to come.
