My students need Rocketbooks to not only reduce the amount of waste in the classroom, but to collaborate with classmates and be able to submit book assignments and writings effortlessly.
I teach middle and high school students from a variety of backgrounds. While teaching these students is a joy, it can also be stressful as a large number of those students are from low-income families and may not be able to afford materials they need in order to succeed in school.
It is vital that these students all have the opportunity to succeed and feel that they are being pushed to become better individuals both in and out of the classroom.
With the ability to vary the difficulty level of work and obtain materials for these students, they have that chance, and it is one less thing they need to worry about.
My Project
My students write on a daily basis. Not only does the writing involve assignments such as spelling and grammar work, but they include writing prompts, brainstorm lists, and essays. These writings vary in length from a paragraph to a two page essay. They work at peer editing and revising before submitting their finalized writings, however, this process can use a lot of time and resources. With the use of Rocketbooks, students will be able to complete their writings, conduct peer editing and revisions, and submit their drafts quickly and effortlessly.
With the changing world, technology is not only something children have greater access to than they have in the past, but it also allows for less waste of resources such as paper.
When my students use the Rocketbooks, they will be replacing the paper they usually use, with an endlessly reusable notebook that is ready for the next project with the swipe of the cleaning rag.
