This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Do your best," is what my students hear everyday. To accomplish this they need basic materials to use. Please help our students thrive in school each day.

My students come from a low socioeconomic background.

About 90% of them are on free or reduce lunch. Families are not able to donate basic materials for the classroom. Some of the students have been abandon by a parent of both. However, the students daily success breeds motivation and the desire to learn. I continue to encourage that in them. We just need a little help.

My Project

I teach kindergarten, everyday we learn the basics. This includes daily letter formation, cutting, gluing and reading. Their handwriting has improved tremendously. They are eager to write on their white boards and look forward to it each morning. Many of my students are now writing sentences.

My project is important because it will give my students the basic materials needed for their learning to continue.

This includes basic materials such as paper, glue sticks, expo markers, and writing paper.
