My students need write and wipe dry erase boards, mini erasers and markers to practicing writing everything from sight words to sentences all while perfecting their letter formation and handwriting skills!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are high-energy, eager to learn kindergarteners that come from many varied backgrounds. Our school is a Title 1 school and many of my students lack emotional and academic support at home.
In our inclusive class, we have friends with learning disabilities, friends who are English Language Learners, but most importantly, we have friends that are always willing to help and share what they have learned with others!
My students work hard everyday to grow as young learners and extend their many thanks for helping them on their academic journeys!
My Project
Every morning my students and I begin our day by writing a Morning Message where we practice sentence structure, phonics and sight words.
As I write on the easel, it would be great to have all of my students engaged and writing independently on their own mini dry erase lap boards!
The Morning Message is really a vital part of our day as it helps students to practice capitalization, punctuation, reading and writing sight words and phonics skills when sounding out new words. My students would love a chance to play teacher themselves and write with me on their own boards. They would also be getting extra (and much needed for Kindergartners) handwriting practice!
