My students come to school with lots of enthusiasm for learning, but don't always have what they need for basic supplies. I want them to be excited and ready to write and publish their best pieces of work.
My first grade class is very energetic and can't wait to start centers in the morning.
My school is a Title 1 school, but we want the very best education for each one of our students. I use centers everyday for part of my reading block. I would love the make this center better and want the students to publish their best work.
My Project
I will use this center everyday in my classroom. I want my students to want to go to the writing center as their first choice during reading block. These materials will allow me to keep the center organized, neat, and stocked full of supplies throughout the year. I am asking for an birch writing center organizer that will keep everything neat and tidy. It will hold multiple supplies including paper, crayons, colored pencils, and multiple types of paper. I also asked for different types of paper to explore our thoughts and capture our ideas. My last item that I want to add is a writing first grade curriculum book to help me come up with more ideas for my students to write.
I want the students to feel like we have the best materials and supplies, and that they deserve the best.
This writing organizer will help me teach the students how to take care of supplies and what it should look like at the end of the day. These materials will provide opportunity to be creative and express their creativity through their own writing, and share it with others in the classroom.
