Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first graders are enthusiastic, motivated learners. They come each day to school with a smile and ready to learn. Writing is an integral part of their learning and I want to engage them in some fun, independent writing activities that will support everything we've been learning about writing. By creating a designated writing center, my students will have a place to visit daily to write a story, write a postcard to a classmate or write in their journal. By providing them with fun pens, markers, letter stamps and ink pads, they will have a variety of ways to practice and enhance their writing skills using these different resources to create different types of writing while practicing sentence formation and spelling skills. I'd like to thank you in advance for your support in getting these fabulous resources to my students to enhance their writing skills!
