My students need a table big enough for students to collaborate and brainstorm their creative ideas! This table will allow 6-8 students to utilize at one time!
My English classroom is a place of challenge and discovery. We write daily and paragraph edit daily. Students spend their time in this classroom learning the foundation of knowledge and skills they will need as they move forward in the upper grades.
The students are fifth graders in a rural setting with high poverty.
They take pride in their efforts and are willing to challenge their minds for the sake of learning. During the year, they grow so much individually and learn.
My Project
Students will be able to gather around the table and allow collaboration for brainstorming ideas for their current writing project! This specific table will comfortably allow 6-8 students to sit and have a sturdy writing surface to express his or her ideas on paper. As part of the writing process, these students will need to peer edit and revise before publishing their final copy. This table would allow all these steps to be made at one central location, instead of scattering around the room. This table is just a part of the teamwork that is essential to our classroom community!
