My Students

As a teacher at a magnet school, my kindergarten students come from very diverse backgrounds. I have students in my class that come from different socioeconomic, racial, and religious backgrounds. Half of my class comes from urban cities while the other half is from suburban and rural towns. These students work together and learn from each other.

Even though my students come from diverse backgrounds, my young learners come to school eager to learn.

My goal, as their teacher, is to help them learn and grow as much as possible and to prepare them for the 21st-century by teaching them the skills they will need to be successful learners throughout their lives.

My Project

My kindergarten students work heard throughout the year practicing their letter and number writing, learning sight words, and solving math facts. These MagPads will allow my students a fun way of practicing writing with the help of magnets.

The MagPads will allow my students a fun way of practicing writing their letters, numbers, and sight words.

After students use the magnetic pen to help them write, students will then need to use their fingers to go back over the metal beads to release them. This will provide students with a fun new sensory way of learning!

The sky is the limit with these magnetic writing pads! I can see my students using these for working on writing letters, numbers, sight words, and even drawing their 2-dimensional shapes. What a fun new way to help us learn!
