My Students

My students are eager to experience new ventures by exploring how research projects open the doors to exploring our history. We live in a rural area where students' exposure to cultures beyond our own is limited.

Often I find that when they are exposed to new ideas beyond what they know they are at first hesitant but then gather steam as we explore the ideas to these new thoughts and experiences.

I am excited to share with them the ideas represented in a culture that helped lay the foundation of not only our language but of our experiences as learners.

My Project

We currently are using books from 2012 with old writing standards. We are using the 7th edition and would like to upgrade to the 9th edition to prepare students for what's to come beyond high school. Teaching students proper writing and editing techniques are important to help them enter a world of academics that may seem intimidating. Teaching these skills and teaching them how to find tools to assist them both in and out of the classroom is important. Students struggle with writing. These tools will help them become more successful.
