Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, I see that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best.
They want to be in school. They love learning about the world around them. My students love getting to know each other and each and every day they enter my classroom is a new day for something amazing to happen
My Project
My students are in need of writers notebooks. They will be using these notebooks all year long to track their writing progress. Students will be using their notebooks to organize their thoughts and ideas. These notebooks will allow the teachers and students to track their progress throughout the year and see the growth of the students writing. Often, students are working on multiple writing assignments and their pages get lost in their chair bags. These notebooks will help organize the students' multiple assignments. These notebooks will also help our students stay organized with their writing assignments. We will also be able to see the students' writing growth from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.
