The first day of Kindergarten can be very scary for these little ones. They are not sure of the their surroundings and what is to be expected of them. They have no idea how much they will grow and change from all of the things they will be learning over the next several months. As they are learning and growing, they don't always see it, but their family and teachers see their growth. This growth and change is truly amazing.
My students have grown into not only learners, but explorers, teachers, scientists, mathematicians, and experts.
We enjoy working together and teaching each other new things. In our room, we like to use a variety of different technology and methods to explore in our learning. We use computers, iPads, a document camera, Osmos and Promethean Planet. The students enjoy using technology and various other learning methods to develop and enhance their learning.
My Project
We are requesting a dry erase table to use with our flexible seating. This will help provide my students the opportunity to get actively involved in their learning by working in a small group with the teacher and demonstrating their knowledge.
While working in small groups, the students will be able to demonstrate their understanding of the content being taught.
The students and teacher will also be able to use dry erase markers on the table for word work activities, math problems, and kid writing during small group work. The teacher will be able to keep an eye out for corrections in student learning which will allow for more student success.
