I love teaching third grade! My students come to school full of questions, excitement, and ideas that are fueled by everything they are learning. From cursive to multiplication facts, they are excited to learn anything and everything. In third grade they grow so much - intellectually, physically, and socially this year.
They may have different strengths and abilities, but one thing they all have the same is unlimited potential.
They enjoy sharing what they learn with me and each other. I know each child can learn and grow when given the opportunity in a safe, positive environment to grow in. I love to see the growth they make.
My Project
My students will use these tools and activities to help them improve their writing and reading skills. Practicing reading and writing together supports both skills at the same time. Improving lessons in my guided reading groups and centers time will foster their growth as readers and writers.

Keeping their activities varied will help to extend their interest and quality of work. As my student work on sequencing and comprehension by writing about what they have read they will improve their literacy and writing skills. They are especially excited to practice and use cursive writing they have just learned.
