My Students

My new ELA students will be incoming 6th graders new to middle school. I’m looking forward to meeting them and welcoming them to our school and my classroom. I know they will be bright eyed and eager to dive right in to ELA! My new students will be coming from a variety of elementary schools and I know each and every one of them will have something terrific to offer to the classroom. Students love hands on activities and using these dry erase boards will make learning engaging.

My Project

Writing is essential to an ELA classroom. In addition to paper and pencil and the use of chrome books, dry erase boards will help tremendously in my classroom. They will be used during small group work where students often share ideas when brainstorming and working on projects. In addition they will participate in station work and they can carry the dry erase board to each station. The boards will also be used for responses to questions posed to the class for students to hold up during a Do now, unit vocabulary review, exit out, This will encourage them to work together to come up with responses.
