My Students

My school is a Title I school where more than 3/4 of students receive free and reduced lunches. We have a weekend meal program available for students: one bag of food is from a local food bank and the other bag comes from a staff-funded food project, where contributions are collected weekly. Students come from diverse ethnic backgrounds and represent many cultures and languages.

My students LOVE to read!

They enjoy getting lost in books and practicing their ever-increasing reading skills. I would love to create a welcoming and cozy reading nook for them in our classroom.

My Project

I would like to purchase materials to help my students to become better writers. The materials I need are four-pocket writing folders and long-lasting D'Nealian self-stick vinyl desktop helpers.

The four-pocket writing folders would be so helpful to students because they will help them to follow the writing process and keep their work organized.

These folders also provide excellent check lists and tips for each section. They vinyl desktop helpers provide a reference for letter formation as well as the correct spellings of colors, shapes, etc.

With these materials, my students will be able to stay organized and write well.
