My Students

I teach 20 first graders in a small school in the mountains of Western North Carolina. My students are curious, compassionate, and full of energy. This year our school is investing in the future by implementing The Leader in Me. It is exciting to envision how my students will make the world a better place.

Our days begin with smiles, handshakes and a song (or two)!

While we all come from different backgrounds and experiences, we share a sense of community and a love of education.

My Project

The new mobile dry erase board will help my class enhance their learning experience. The dry erase board will be used to write our family meeting message, learning targets, examples and to document student ideas and thoughts.

My students are curious and eager to build on their learning.

The mobile white board will allow us to quickly record new ideas or concepts without me having to stop and search for paper or even worse, try to scrub clean the ancient white board that we have.

The board is on wheels and would allow me to take the learning to the students.
