This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are creative, curious, and eager to learn! In our first-grade classroom, small group instruction is essential for providing individualized learning opportunities. It allows me to meet my students where they are and help them grow at their own pace. However, our current setup doesn't fully support the dynamic, hands-on learning environment I envision.

By introducing a dry erase rectangular table into our classroom, I aim to transform small group instruction.

This table will serve as a space where students can actively engage in writing, solving math problems, and brainstorming together. With the surface doubling as a whiteboard, students can easily share ideas, practice skills, and receive immediate feedback.

I am requesting a rectangular dry erase table that will accommodate small groups of 4-6 students.

This table will provide:

A space for students to work collaboratively during small group sessions in literacy, math, and writing.

A dry-erase surface for students to write directly on the table, making learning hands-on and interactive.

Opportunities for me to provide immediate feedback as students practice skills in real-time.

Small group instruction is a cornerstone of differentiated learning in my classroom. It allows me to give personalized attention to students who need extra support while challenging others to deepen their understanding. This table will not only facilitate academic growth but also foster a collaborative, interactive learning environment.
