This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Many boys at Gary School love to read about pro wrestlers. The boys try to "wrestle" for the few books on the subject that we have in the library. It is these reluctant readers I am trying to reach. They will usually pass up the opportunity to check out a book if there is not a wrestling book available. I am the primary librarian at Gary School. I serve students in Prekindergarten, third, and fourth grades. My goal is to capture their interest in wrestling and encourage their interest in reading.
