My Students

I teach 6th grade English, Reading & Literature.

I’ve truly loved teaching Reading to all my students; while seeing them enjoy a mystery, nonfictional, or biography.

I read 95% of the story to each class, to increase spelling and fluency.

This project will place curriculum, and books in the hands of some students that have yet to read a book from cover to end. My current curriculum consist of one Literature book. I need more effective tangible resources for my classes, and would greatly appreciate any donation.

My Project

This book is the first of Percy Jackson series! I’ve taught other series, and witness my students eager to read the entire series. I read the first book; while building on plot, characters, and vocabulary. Then watch their desire to read independently and complete the series; for boys & girls...

This book is graphic, has high level vocabulary, and a great compare & contrast for non-fiction books.

In addition, objectives such as figurative language, and sentence structure. I will assign writing assignments, and prompts to build on effective writing, and answering writing prompts with supporting facts. Students will have buy in with great reads such as this.
