Help me give my students books that represent them both inside and out. Requested are books that have characters that are young children with different skin tones, family dynamics, and traditions.

My Students
I teach in a Special Day class that host unique students with special talents and abilities. These students are kindhearted and eager to learn in their own special way. They come to school with smiles on their face and hearts filled with gold.
All the students are labeled with a disability.
However, they don't allow labels to keep them from being their best selves. They enjoy learning and school happens to be most of their safe haven. They are able to find the skills they need to meet many of their goals. These kids are the future!
My Project
I have a multi-ethnic classroom with students that have different tradition and beliefs. It is important for them to see themselves in different media outlets in the classroom. I want them to know that it is ok to look different from their friends. These books will allow them to understand that we all come from a different family dynamic but we can still come to school and learn from each other.
Being able to select a book with characters that look like my students will give them so much pride and confidence.
Books are so important for children because it helps them become deep thinkers, to explore, and discover the world outside of their home. These books that I selected explore different traditions and rituals like family dinners wearing special garments. My students will also get to learn that everyone's families look different but, do very similar things in their household. These books will also inspire them to be comfortable with their identity.
