Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our student body consists of varying ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. To meet the needs of our diverse population, we promote multiple activities and learning situations. With diversity, we must be creative in best engaging the student.

Our school is a charter school in Oklahoma City to create informed and educated students that may have been underserved or underestimated in the public school system.

My Project

These books will allow our students to read great literature that will expand their vocabulary and will allow for greater comprehension skills. I plan on having them read and write expansions of their personal understanding and share that with the class as a whole. We need these books to ensure meet all standards.

In my classroom, I emphasize student success and student participation.

I believe that we can overcome many things by working together. While it can be a challenge at times, I am pleased to see the "Aha" moment in their eyes.
