Help me give my students a set of current encyclopedias! The set we currently have is from 2010. World Book Encyclopedias are a basic need for our library reference.

My Students

My students live in a city with a population of 10,000. There is really not a whole lot of entertainment in our small city, and our teens have to travel about 30 minutes on the interstate to find the nearest movie theater. Farms are prevalent in our county, and some kids live far in the country, but most reside in the city.

More than half of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch, so it is definitely high on my priority list to provide our students with as many opportunities as possible.

Please consider helping our students find and discover new interests and find opportunities for growth!

My Project

Encyclopedias are still a basic need for students in the library. Print resources are still needed, especially since we are not 1 to1 in devices.

Please help supplement our reference collection so the cost of this set will not take away from our budget to buy more fiction and nonfiction books.

We currently only have 13 books per student in the library collection, and our current set is from 2010 which is outdated according to our state library standards. In order to meet basic standards our encyclopedia set needs to be no more than 7 years from the current calendar date.
