Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work in a wonderful school with excited, motivated students. They always inspire me with their love of learning. Our school has a majority of high socioeconomically disadvantaged children. We are a Title I school with many cultures represented (mostly Latino and Vietnamese). Many of these students live in neighborhoods that tend to be unsafe and underprivileged which causes a lack of opportunities.
I truly believe in our motto of "preparing all children as global learners." I hope to give these students as many resources as they may need in order to become successful both in and outside of the classroom.

My Project
Having Hokki Stools readily available for students will positive influence students' learning in our classroom. These stools are extra helpful for students who sometimes can't help their wiggly little bodies. This gives them an opportunity to wiggle and move around while still working hard on their schoolwork.
If every single student is provided with a seating option that caters best to their needs, they will not only be more successful in their learning, but they will be EXCITED to learn!
There are students with disabilities who will greatly benefit from these stools, and there are also students who just simply need extra movement without any penalty in order to learn. If given the opportunity to use these tools, students will, without a doubt, be positively impacted in both their academics and overall mental health.
