This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As an educator working in this field, I have had opportunities work with low income families and diverse learners. I find it rewarding to give back to a low-income community in Englewood in Chicago and students that are often forgotten about. For the last couple of years, I had the pleasure of working with diverse learners in the 4-8th grade. I find it my duty to encourage and bring out the best in each student I come in contact with. In addition, I want the students to learn that they are no different from the other students and that are just as important. As they so often do feel different and picked on because they of their different learning abilities. So, I want to provide students with skills that prepare them to be ready for real-world leaders and innovators.
My Project
I am requesting these 2 iPads because after the virtual learning a lot technology became damaged or lost and I am short 2 iPads for my students. Receiving these two devices it will ensure that all my students all able to be on one accord without having to wait or ask other teachers to use theirs.
In my classroom, technology is used as a tool for empowerment to meet my students’ needs.
Not only does it help my students achieve academically but, more importantly, it prepares them for the real world.
