My students love creating adventures stories and getting their audience to feel what they are writing about! My kiddos are active in their learning and seeking out answers on their own!
My class is 64% Native American students, which adds a fun element to our classroom culture.
We are nestled in a little town in Oregon. We are surrounded by beautiful trees, rivers, and wildlife, and because of this, my students love to go on nature walks or be outdoors as much as possible.
My Project
My students love to think through and work out their math problems with dry erase markers on their desks. This is effective and students love to "act like teachers" and write out their math problems along with the teacher. Book boxes help my students stay organized and transition subjects quicker and more efficiently. Writing is a big task in 5th grade so we are constantly learning and working at being better authors! In doing this, we need lots of extra paper for our stories and all of the corrections that we are making to perfect our awesome stories! We love to learn!
