Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My second grade students are vibrant and will brighten up your day! They can be an energetic bunch! They are hard workers and love to show this to anyone who walks into our school or whoever they see in the hallway!

My second grade students are an amazing group of children with different abilities and personalities.

They are busting at the seams to learn. They are excited to learn and grow.

My Project

Unfortunately, due to the Pandemic, my class is split into two cohorts and taking turns working from home and in person.

It has made teaching a little bit more complicated; however it has reminded me how important it is to ensure students are learning while making sure they are still love learning!

I couldn't think of better way to ensure that my students continue to love learning, even though it is difficult to work at home, with a project requesting their favorite book series! My students enjoy reading and I have been struggling with providing them with books because of our hybrid schedule. This project will provide books to my Second Graders to read while they are home. This project is for Katie Woo books for my students to read at home and headphones to keep them focused on their remote work. This project will help them continue to love to learn and to read!
