Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give the gift of reading! I teach second grade in a self contained classroom. Most of my students are English language learners. Some are struggling, while others are right on the precipice...they just need a little nudge!
I have one LeapFrog learning system that all the students want to use because it is interactive and engaging. They love it. However, I only have one.
My students would benefit from using the LeapFrog Tag Reading Program while I am teaching small groups of students how to read. I try to create meaningful and purposeful work for them to do during their independent reading time. These tools would serve them well by creating a rich context in which to build their reading comprehension skills. I would expect to see their reading skills improve as they use this interactive reading program.
Reading is the key to their success in school. Your support would help students to realize their potential as readers and empower them as human beings.
