My Students
This is my third year as a teacher and every year, I continue to learn. Through the supportive staff, the amazing opportunities to grow as a teacher, I can't see what there isn't to love.
My 25 students are what drive me every single day to not only be a better person but to be a better teacher.
Their enthusiasm and love for learning is the light on the darkest of days. Although they all learn a different way, they always want to help each other within the classroom and outside of the classroom. As a teacher, I couldn't want anything more.
My Project
With a class of a lot of boys, I aimed this project towards books that they would like, selecting a variety of books so that will want to read .
I would like to foster a love for reading by getting books such as Plants vs Zombies, Saving Mr. Terput, and Diary of a 6th Grade Ninja that they like and that I know they will read.
Within this project, I also requested several picture books to teach diversity among them. I would like students to understand the different cultures that are around them in their everyday lives. I want to foster kindness, respect, understanding of the past and the future by reading these books.
