Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a first-grade classroom full of energetic young learners. My students love to create and build things. That is why hands-on learning is so beneficial. In our classroom, we get to make choices to enhance our educational experience. The students are learning how to choose the right book for them, how to pick the right seat that will encourage learning, and how to take care of their school supplies.

We are learning to be good citizens, and we practice life principles to accomplish this.

First grade is chock full of new experiences. It is my goal to get them ready for what may come next in their lives.

My Project

My students will be using the literacy activities to enhance their learning. The students will use the literacy activities in small group centers and at the teacher table. The students will also use the games to learn sight words. They love playing games and the three Jinga games have different levels of sight words. They will be able to be used by the whole class. The boogie boards are another way to allow the students to write and share answers in class. The students will use these boards for both math and reading.
