This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The best way to learn letters and words is through play and hands-on toys! My students need new hands-on alphabet materials.
My 23 kindergarten students come in the door every morning eager to learn through play.
They do best when learning is HANDS-ON! Our South Carolina school is mostly low socio-economic, and our children need opportunities to use new and different materials that help them discover the world around them.
My Project
Hands-on alphabet materials are the best way to build up children who are READERS! Students will use the alligator alphabet puzzle and alphabet stickers to learn letters and sounds. Sight word puzzles teach simple words, and I absolutely can't wait to see my students using letter snap blocks to spell their own words!
This project is important because hands-on learning is important.
We learn daily through learning clubs, NOT "seat work." Your support goes to helping children to build their own learning and have fun while they do it!
