I have the best students in the world! They come in happy and willing to learn each day. Most of the students in my classroom face challenges every day, but by the looks on their faces you would never know the struggles they face daily.
My students have many different needs with living in a high poverty rural area; it is hard to make sure the needs of all students are met.
While at school, student engagement is the most important for learning and success in school.
My Project
These materials will make such a difference in my classroom. When coming from rural poverty areas, vocabulary is lacking for success in the classroom for my students. I would love to provide the best opportunity to have learning in the classroom. I want to provide different vocabulary stations to have in the classroom such as learning about synonyms, antonyms, homophones, and meaning of words. By introducing the students to these language components of vocabulary I would see increased scores on assessments and during observational activities when they read. During a writing assignment, I would also like to see the students expand their vocabulary.
Please help me have my students succeed in the classroom that is full of confusing words and meanings.
