This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My preschool students are very engaged in verbally sharing their thoughts even though language production is not intelligible to the listener. Their excitement to build verbal skills and to know that what they have verbally produced (sounds, words, and gestures) is understood by the listener is like hugs on their faces. The materials donated will help stimulate engagement and excitement from the words in their minds to communication production. These materials will include light source toys, picture icons, sentence phrases, and engaging stories with interactive pull-out objects from the story to increase communication interaction.
