This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This school year, I have been blessed with an amazing group of gifted Second grade students.

They are a fun-loving, talkative, and inquisitive group.

I am challenged every day to provide instruction in reading, math, science, and social studies that keeps them learning and engaged. Our school is a Title I school, meaning more than 75% of our students come from low income homes. We also have a majority of students who are English Language Learners (ELL). Many of our students do not have access to technology at home.

My Project

This year I am looking to take my students' writing to new levels! The current printer being used in our classroom is on its last leg. It gets jammed so many times that it gets to the point where we’d rather not use it. We are requesting a new laser printer and toner that will give my student a way to publish all kinds of writing throughout the year. They will be able to document their learning, with the goal of sharing with parents and creating an end of the year book, showcasing the highlights of Second grade

These tools will provide my students everything they need to take their writing to the next level.
