My Project
These wordless picture books make reading accessible to all students and are an innovative way to get students really thinking about their reading! Fifth grade students are always engaged and excited about "reading" this new genre of wordless picture books. Students will use the picture clues to create the story. This will, in turn, help them to monitor and fix-up their comprehending, which is an essential and life-long reading skill!
The power and possibilities of wordless picture books are unmatched!
Our classroom community will be enriched through the shared reading and discussion associated with these books. Students comprehension will improve! I look forward to utilizing wordless books, and I know the students will be amazed by your generosity! It's a win-win!
