Students come in every morning and begin their morning work. Next, we do a mini-lesson for writing and get started writing stories! We also participate in the Daily 5 in which students participate in guided reading, listening, word work, writing, and read to self.
I teach a lively bunch of kindergarteners.
I currently have twenty-four 5 year olds. They love to play games on the computers, read books that are on their level, and tell all about their favorite things. We moved into a new school building this year. Three schools have merged to become one larger school.
My Project
This will be my 6th year teaching and my students are in desperate need of new alphabet stamps. Students use letter stamps daily in our literacy centers and they can be worn out quickly. In word work we also need magnetic letters to help build our new sight words and our friends names.
Students would love to have some comfy bean bags to sit on while reading books in our library. Right now we have a large rug with no "soft" spaces.
Donations to this project will improve my classroom by helping students improve their literacy skills.
It will also give students comfort while reading books in our library! Please help out my students!
