Word Work Magic

We need Magnetic Letters, Word Building Blocs, Lapboards, and Alphabet Stamps. My students need these materials that they can use to enhance their word work during Daily 5 stations.

My Students

I have 22 very diverse students in my classroom. They are very eager to learn and I am looking for ways to keep them engaged in their learning. Half of my students come from a low-income household, while the other half come from a middle class household.

We have been working on enhancing our reading and writing skills in the classroom.

I feel that once my students are more engaged in learning their reading and writing will explode. Thank you.

My Project

My students need word work materials so that they can focus on building words, sounding out words, and the ability to manipulate words during our word work station. These activities will be used during our Word Work station everyday as we move stations throughout our Reader's Workshop time.

They will be able to use these manipulatives during our whole group and small group time, learning letters and sounds as they make words.

Your generous donation to our project will improve our first grade classroom by building stronger readers and writers. My students are very excited to use and manipulate these items.
