Help me give my students the supplies necessary to play their instruments on a daily basis.
This project expired on July 21, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Welcome to our little classroom full of students that seek to participate in everything they have available to them. Many of my band students are also in my choir, and also in my drama class. Significant students are also two or three-sport athletes in addition to thriving as musicians.
These kids may come from a small school and small town, but their dreams and ambitions suggest otherwise.
Their hearts are caring and welcoming to all around them. The students at this school strive for excellence with the few options they have surrounding them. They love to joke and be silly but know when it's time to work. We build a strong sense of community within our classroom each day.
Band class is like no other; each student needs their own instrument and with the instrument, multiple other supplies items to even produce a sound. Reeds can get expensive for students when a box of reeds only comes with five and costs over twenty dollars. All clarinet and saxophone students reeds and mouthpieces to be successful in band.
Just like having a notebook and pencil is essential in English, reeds and mouthpieces are essential in the band classroom.
Without each of these, students are not able to play in class and cannot further themselves as student musicians. Please help my students have reeds on hand for their use, without having to ask them to pay for a box on their own.
