Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My scholars consist of a wide range of personalities that all have one thing in common, the eagerness to grow as scholars. With your support of my project, I will be able to provide my scholars with resources for success and to be physically active.
My goal is to help scholars find a life long physical activity they can enjoy.
My scholars are growing up in a low income area that does not predict their educational trajectory. My scholars will work hard to get smart, have fun, and will be college ready! They are researchers, mathematicians, scientists, authors, historians, etc. My students are the future of Dallas and members of our future society. Every day, they come ready to refine their motor skills and eager to learn about their body.
My Project
My scholars are in need of hula hoops and storage for it. Every day in class they play with hula hoops that look like a triangle instead of it's original shape.
Even though the hula hoops are damaged they still play with them.
Which shows that my scholars enjoy physical education even without the proper equipment. With your help my scholars would be able to play with these new hula hoops in fun creative games throughout the year. I am also asking for the hula hoop storage bag because I share my physical education closet with the custodians and the lunch crew. Meaning I don't have much to store things. The bag will help me store the hula hoops and easy access for my scholars to grab and go play.
