Wonderful Word Work for Developing Readers!

Help me give my students word and letter manipulatives that will allow them to become skilled readers and writers.

My Project

The items I have chosen for our classroom will help my amazing first graders develop encoding and decoding skills by using manipulatives to form words. These materials will help my students encode words from its phoneme to the grapheme needed to spell words. This will be a big help for my English Language Learners as well as students with reading disabilities.

These materials will allow me to differentiate student activities based on skill needs and help them to develop phonetic skills to become skilled readers.

These manipulatives will allow students to have choices in how they complete their daily word work tasks.
