My Students

Portland, Maine is a beautiful place and the students are just as wonderful! East End Community School is rich with many different languages, backgrounds, and experiences. Our mission statement reads, "Empowering Students of the World for the World!" The students are hard workers, kind, caring, and have helped create an amazing school community!

My Project

In my role as Interventionist, I work with students, kindergarten through 5th grade. In small groups, we work together to strengthen their reading and writing skills. The lessons include a word work component in which we learn letter sounds, look at word patterns, use word families, hear rhyme, learn high frequency words, and more. Many of the students are learning English as a second language.
